METHOD

To conduct our research on Nestle's sustainable practices, our team used the case study method. Case study research involves a close-up and in-depth detailed examination of a subject of study.  The data was collected from Nestle's sustainability reports, their shared value reports, Nestle's main website, primary articles and other secondary sources. The research about Nestle that our group found was put into theoretical types of sustainability, so how humans benefit from Nestle being a sustainable company, environmental, social, and lastly economic effects. We also looked at sustainability and the present performance frontier, sustainable supply chain, and sustainable innovation.
The reports that our group collects was also assessed by using Global Reporting Initiative report principals. GRI reports and sustainable reports that reflect companies claims to depict an overall picture of their ecological, social and economic sustainability activities and performance. GRI reporting principals on defining two aspects of reporting. They are; principles that relate what should be included in the report (the content) and principals prescribed ways to enable companies to attain a standard quality of sustainability reporting.
