Nestle is committed to conducting business that is social, economically and environmentally sustainable. Our research hypothesis is that Nestle sustainability mission has increased the company’s ability to become more innovative. Our team will use the case study research method to collect and analyze data on how Nestle carries out sustainability practices, to examine our hypothesis. With their ten corporate business principles, they are guaranteeing quality assurance and product safety. Nestle has integrated the sustainable development goals into their creating shared value approach, this allows them to identify these goals and see where they can add the most value. Data used will primarily be collected from company sustainability reports, creating shared value reports, primary articles from Nestle and secondary sources. The data collected will be analyzed using Global Reporting Initiatives and integrated reporting guidelines as well as business strategy concepts such as creating shared value.
ABSTRACT
Nestle is rated the worlds largest fast moving consumer goods company in terms of revenue, the leading nutrition, health, and wealth company who strives to improve the quality life of their customers everywhere. They believe that this starts with the way their products are packaging, making sure everything is responsibly made and preserved. Nestle applies the life cycle approach systematically assessing their product categories along with the entire value chain. There are more than 2000 brands partnered with Nestle ranging from global icons to local favorites, their product portfolio is immense and ranges from beverages such as liquid beverages or water to baby and health foods and sweets and snacks.
